Spellout is an innovative app designed to enhance the English learning experience, specifically targeting listening, vocabulary, reading, and pronunciation skills. With its modern interface and array of features, Spellout provides a simple yet powerful learning platform.

Dictation is a widely recognized study method recommended by numerous English teachers. It not only improves listening ability but also cultivates vocabulary, reading, writing, spelling, and pronunciation skills. However, traditional full-text dictation can be time-consuming and challenging for most English learners.

Statistics reveal that a mere ten different lemmas make up a remarkable 25% of all words used in the Oxford English Corpus. These frequently recurring words such as "the," "be," and "to" account for a significant portion of our language. Similarly, the 100 most common lemmas constitute 50% of the corpus, with the top 1,000 lemmas covering 75%. Consequently, a substantial amount of time and effort spent on full-text dictation focuses on high-frequency words already familiar to learners.

Spellout revolutionizes this approach by implementing a more efficient method. Rather than requiring full-text dictation, the app prompts users to spell out important words based on their target language proficiency. The system then intelligently tailors future test questions to concentrate on unfamiliar words, thereby facilitating rapid skill improvement in listening, vocabulary, reading, and pronunciation.
